I recently found myself looking through the PSI archives, where I came across this project we completed nearly 15 years ago.
Quaker Fabrics Co., a long-time customer, had multiple plants in Fall River, Massachusetts. Over the years, we performed numerous projects for them ranging from plumbing, process piping, steam, air, water and fire protection. Unfortunately, this once publicly-owned company closed up shop several years ago.
But, when Quaker Fabrics needed to increase their boiler capacity, PSI was more than able to meet their needs—and this was no easy project. Our team positioned (read: shoehorned) and connected the new boiler to work in tandem with the existing system. As a result, Quaker Fabrics was able to keep production going without any major interruption. We repeated the process with the installation of a second boiler.
I am continually amazed by the ingenuity of our team here at PSI. They took what could have been an impossible job and made it work flawlessly…which just goes to show: no job is too complicated for us!
